Anna Chlumksy has a My Girl of her very own!
The 32-year-old Veep star has given birth to a baby girl named Penelope Joan, a rep for the actress confirms to E! News.
Chlumsky, whose role alongside Macaulay Culkin in the 1991 flick My Girl shot her into stardom, and her husband of five yearsShaun So, also 32, welcomed their new bundle of joy on July 11, People confirms. The baby girl was born in NYC. "Thank you to the amazing doctors and nursing staff at #StLukesRoosevelt," Chlumsky tweetedtoday. "Your care and expertise are inspiring. Super people."
"She's a really good mix between my husband and me," Chlumksy tells the mag of little Penelope. "When she's with him, you see him, and when she's with me, you see me. She's a perfect mix."
"We think she has my mouth, but it's hard to tell," she continued. "Even the color of her eyes, they are different in different light. But she has a really full head of hair."
Adding to the excitement of the sweet baby news, Chlumksy scored herself an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series this morning for her role as Amy Brookheimer, the vice president's chief of staff, on the hit HBO show Veep! Chlumksy'sVeep costars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tony Hale also scored Emmy noms for Lead Actress and Lead Actor respectively.
"I'm still in shock," Chlumksy gushed. "When I got the call I wasn't sleeping because I was breastfeeding my daughter. It was neat because it was me and my husband and my daughter all in the room getting the news at the same time. When [my manager] told me, it was that nervous, happy, appreciative laughter. I just laughed a lot! It feels really great to have your work noticed."
