Olympic bigwigs made Blondie an offer they could refuse -- a gig at the Winter Games in Sochi, which the band turned down flat over Russia's recent round of human rights violations.
Blondie was offered the headlining slot at Thursday night's medal ceremonies, where they would have played before a crowd of 25,000, but the Russian government's crackdown on LGBT rights prompted the band to say "nyet." Debbie Harry tweeted a copy of the contract they were offered, on which she scrawled "Pass. Human Rights."
They've been replaced by a Latvian band called Brainstorm.
