The vine club

Tracy Weekdays 6 - 10pm

Hi, I'm Tracy,
Like most of the Vine DJs, I've been all over, living in South Dakota, Nebraska, Texas and more in my life.  I settled in Napa about ten years ago and have managed to plant a few little roots in my time here.  I've been working at The Vine for ten years as well and have covered almost every shift, but I like the nights best!  The best way to describe working at the Vine is that its like a family.  And in my case, that's not just a metaphor.  I met my husband here and we work together every day.  We also bring our baby, Violet (she's the one in the picture), and sometimes our dog, Cooper, to work with us every day.  If you come to my office, you will have to step over board books and dog beds!  When we're not at work, we like to go for long walks, watch movies and play in the garden.  I've also got a bit of an obsession with entertainment gossip, which tends to pop up a lot in my show!  But mostly, I just like playing Sauvignon Rock!

Cell Phone In Peril

by Tracy posted Jul 19 2013 4:52PM
Like most people, I love my phone.  I feel rather naked without it.  Just knowing that its settled all nice and comfy in my purse makes me feel a little more secure.  I left it at home today and actually asked to borrow my husband's cell phone before he, very kindly, yet suppressing a smirk, pointed to the landline in front of my face.  Cell phones have become so ingrained in our culture that watching movies made before cells seem antiquated.  I mean, how did people live without constantly being able to communicate with each other?
But my phone does so much more than call people!  I have games and blogs and texts and all kinds of things on my phone and successfully waste lots of my time.  I could decry the downfall of humanity or something like that, but I'd rather see how my Enchanted Realm is doing, while I text my mother yet another picture of my daughter.
Speaking of my daughter, she is the main reason I now love my phone more than ever.  Back when she was getting up two to three times a night, my phone was both my night light and my entertainment during feedings.  I've got her entire life documented in photos on my phone.  And now that she's older, my phone is my last ditch effort in entertaining her.  She loves the camera.  So much so, that my photo gallery looks something like this:
But she's rather hard on my poor cell phone, so I need to find the most indestructible phone case ever.  Any ideas?
