Eminem Debuts At the Top

Shady's back -- in a big way. Eminem's new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, debuts at Number-One of the Billboard 200 with huge numbers. It sold 792,000 copies last week, making it the second biggest debut of the year, behind Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience, which debuted at Number-One back in March with sales of 968,000.

Em passes Drake's Nothing Was the Same, which previously had the honor of the year's second-biggest debut with sales of 658,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

MMLP2 is Eminem's seventh chart-topping album and bests the first week sales number for his previous two albums, 2010's Recovery (741,000) and 2009's Relapse (608,000). His only album not to make it to the top was 1999's The Slim Shady LP, which debuted and stalled at number two.
