Ok, I just saw a Facebook post from a friend of mine who is traveling in Singapore. Her sister just got a beauty treatment where they used some kind of work to eat the dead skin off of her feet. This sounds terrifying to me for two reasons. 1. I am terribly ticklish and hate it when my feet are lightly touched. I have nearly kcked a pedicurist in the teeth before. I'm not proud of this, in fact I usually try to hide my ticklish side because people find it cute and I hate it. 2. What if the worms are really hungry and don't stop eating once the dead skin is gone? What if they start chomping away on the live stuff. I've seen Pirhana
. And yes, I know that was a movie about mutant fish, but still! Just no. I can't do it. I would rather just go get my monthy pedicure (blue toes with snowflakes this time), and call it good.
So, I have many questions about this process, the first being what is it called? I'm afraid to Google flesh eating worms for fear of what will show up in the images. Also, has anyone done this? And finally, what's the craziest thing you've done in the name of beauty? I'm pretty boring. I've gotten facials and chemical peels, but I've never had worms eat my skin! I did dye half my hair black once, does that count?
