Joan Rivers really is one mad diva.
The 81-year-old comedian stormed out of a CNN interview Saturday because she felt anchor Fredricka Whitfield’s line of questioning was too "negative."
Joan promoting her new book Diary of a Mad Diva, but Fredricka grilled the comedian over her politically incorrect style of comedy. The anchor described the Fashion Police host's fashion critiques as "very mean in some ways."
Before walking out, Joan told the host, "This whole interview is becoming a defensive interview. You are not the one to interview a person who does humor, sorry."
In a statement, Joan defended her actions, saying, "The CNN interviewer was a news reporter and not an entertainment reporter. She did not seem to understand we were talking about a comedy book and not the transcripts from the Nuremberg Trial."
Earlier this week, Joan was criticized for describing President Obama gay and first lady Michelle Obama as "a transgender."
