Justin Timberlake won't have to give back the title of his new single. The leaders of the anti-rape group Take Back the Night have dropped their objections.
Executive Director Katherine Koestner initially objected, saying JT should have asked permission to title his song "Take Back the Night" and questioning some of the lyrics. But after a little back and forth, things have settled down.
Koestner tells BuzzFeed, "At this point, we're going to bow out gracefully, and accept that fighting this in court probably isn't the best use of anyone's time. It's best to focus on the mission, and his stated support is important to us. Mostly, it was shocking that an institution that goes back to 1973 went unnoticed by the likes of Justin Timberlake. It shows how much visibility we really need."
