Apparently, Paula Dean's kitchen has gotten too hot for the Food Network after her recent admission that she used the N-word. The channel issued a statement Friday that said, "Food Network will not new Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month."
Deen was also a no-show on the Today show Friday morning, but she did issue to video apologies about her misstep.
In the first clip, which was posted on YouTube, but then mysteriously taken down, she said, "I want to learn and grow from this. Inappropriate and hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable."
She made the apology following a wave of criticism after her remarks in a discrimination lawsuit were made public. In a deposition, she admitted that she used racial slurs and admitted she tolerated racist jokes in the workplace.
