Friends and family bid farewell to James Gandolfini at a funeral service Thursday morning at New York City's Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.
The service was attended by several hundred mourners -- including Gandolfini's Sopranos co-stars Edie Falco, Lorraine Bracco, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Joe Pantoliano, Steve Buscemi and Michael Imperioli, as well as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Brian Williams and Alec Baldwin.
The final remembrance came from Sopranos creator David Chase, who delivered his eulogy in the form of a letter to his late friend. “I tried to write a traditional eulogy,” he said, “and it came out like bad TV.”
Gandolfini died last week from an apparent heart attack. He was 51.
