American Idol winner Ruben Studdard is back on reality TV—this time on a very different kind of show.
The "Velvet Teddy Bear" will be a contestant on the next season of NBC's The Biggest Loser, E! News has confirmed. The new season debuts this fall.
The 34-year-old, who won season two of Idol (beating out Clay Aiken) back in 2003, has struggled with obesity. After a performance on Idol in 2010, he talked about losing approximately 80 pounds through a vegan diet and regular exercise. Season 15 will air Tuesdays this fall.
