Rod Stewart says he once turned down Mick Jagger's request for a threesome with his then-wife Bianca and Stewart’s then-girlfriend, Dee Harrington. Stewart says, “I’ve only done that sort of thing once, with a couple of Oriental girls, and it’s not my thing. I’m a romantic and like a one-on-one situation, candlelight and foreplay, all the old-fashioned things.”
Stewart is vague on whether Jagger's plans would have included him as well. Of course, reps for Jagger and Stewart were unavailable for comment.
While he's at it, Stewart reckons he's a better singer than the Stones frontman. He also can’t understand why Jagger has been knighted and he hasn’t. “Mick doesn’t pay taxes here, and Tom Jones lives in America," says Stewart. "If my time comes, it will. If it doesn’t, I’m not bothered.” As he notes, he and Queen Elizabeth have one thing in common: “The same hairstyle for 45 years.” Stewart was made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 2007, but that is a lesser honor than a knighthood.
