Aimee Mann Sues Major Online Music Service For Millions

Aimee Mann is hoping her voice carries in court -- she's trying to collect millions she says she's owed by a major online music service.

Mann is the latest artist to strike back against what her lawyer calls "unlicensed, uncompensated use" of her music by a company called MediaNet -- which sells streams to nearly 40 sites, including eBay and Yahoo. She's asking for damages for 120 of her songs, which could total up to $18 million, according to her attorneys.

Aimee says she had a deal with the company more than a decade ago but ended it in 2005 -- and that MediaNet continued to license her tunes without payment for the past eight years.
