OJ Simpson has received parole for his 2008 kidnapping and armed robbery conviction -- but he's not a free man.
Nevada's parole board decided today (Thursday) that OJ doesn't have to serve any more time for those crimes, but he was also convicted of a few lesser charges, and the sentence was ordered to run consecutively. And because he hasn't been paroled for those lesser convictions, he's stuck in jail for at least another four years.
OJ was convicted in 2008 in a case where he was trying to reacquire football memorabilia that, he said, rightfully belonged to him. He and a couple of associates held two memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room in an attempt to get a hold of the goods.
