It looks like Lenny Kravitz has designs on a new moonlighting gig -- as a TV and movie set designer.
Lenny, who's tried his luck with designs for things as varied as sunglasses and lighting fixtures, was tabbed to create a set for Queen Latifah's just-launched talk show. He looked backward for inspiration, focusing on the vintage look of Hugh Hefner's Playboy After Dark and the mod apartment of The Jeffersons, which co-starred his mother, Roxie Roker, as the Jeffersons' neighbor Helen.
Kravitz tells The Hollywood Reporter, "If I scan through daytime talk-show sets, I don't find much inspiring design. Latifah is soulful, elegant, sophisticated yet still street, [so] I did what felt right organically."
