TV Show Allows Contestants To Be Lackeys For Bands Like The Lumineers

If you've ever dreamed of getting into showbiz at the very, very bottom, you'll get your chance on a new web series called The Rider Challenge -- in which contestants will compete to be at the beck and call of bands like The Lumineers and Fall Out Boy.

The five-minute webisodes will pit teams of two in a competition to fulfill an artist's “rider" -- the stuff that they demand delivered to them backstage at performances. The items can range from specific brands of snack food to particular colors of towels or eating utensils, depending on the pickiness of the acts. Other artists particpating include Kid CudiEdward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Fitz and the Tantrums.

The show, which premieres on September 30th, will have episodes set in Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles.
