The Jackson family has lost its bid to find AEG Live liable in Michael Jackson's death.
After a five-month trial, the jury ruled Wednesday that AEG did indeed hire Dr. Conrad Murray, but also that he was NOT unfit or incompetent to treat the star. That means the Jacksons get no payday.
Katherine Jackson and Michael's three children sued AEG, claiming the concert promoter's negligence in hiring and supervising Dr. Murray was a factor in Michael's death. AEG contended that Michael hired Murray.
Jackson died just days before his comeback tour -- promoted and produced by AEG Live -- was set to debut in London in the summer of 2009.
