Wanting to do something nice for the soldiers, the 21-year-old single mother picked up their $27.75 check and gave them a thank you note, according toFoxnews.com.
When one of the New Hampshire National Guard's posted a photo of Hoidahl and a copy of her note of Facebook, news soon spread of her gesture and eventually DeGeneres found out about it.
