Sting and Paul Simon to Tour Together

Paul Simon and Sting will hit the road together next year.

The two former neighbors in a New York apartment building will get things going on February 8th on the West Coast and will be out through March 16th, with a March 4th date at Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple, the only date announced so far.

Sting says, "For 20 years, this guy would be borrowing things all the time. Then I heard he was a songwriter.” Simon adds, "As soon as he got a chance, he moved up, hierarchically, into more elite buildings.” More seriously, Sting says, "Paul and I both share this abiding curiosity about music and where it’s going. We don’t really know where this is going. We don’t really have a clue how this is going to pan out."

The seed for this tour was planted this June when Simon was the surprise guest at Sting's concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey. They played "Fields of Gold" and "The Boxer."

Like some other co-headlining tours, both acts will do a few songs with each other. The official announcement and dates will be released tomorrow.
