Tears For Fears Recording First New Album in 10 Years

Tears For Fears are writing and recording new original songs for their an album expected during 2014. It will be their first in a decade.

After recent covers of Arcade Fire's "Ready to Start” and Hot Chip’s “And I Was A Boy From School,” the '80s hit-makers have just debuted a new cover of Animal Collective’s “My Girls,” along with a new animated video, which is available now for streaming on Tears For Fears’ website.

Co-founder Roland Orzabal recently told Rolling Stone, "The idea was before we actually had any material, before we got together, that we might try and do a couple of cover versions to sort of kick-start the recording process again."

Tears for Fears' profile was raised again when Lorde (of "Royals" fame) covered "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" for the movie Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
