Motley Crue Breaking Up (After Once Last Tour)

After 33 years together making music history, Mötley Crüe has announced that they're parting ways.

But before they officially breakup, they'll be headed on a farewell tour where Alice Cooperwill serve as the band's opening act.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Beacher's Madhouse Theater in Hollywood, the band revealed that they'll be playing 70 shows around the globe. And in an effort to ensure that all of their diehard fans get a chance to see them one last time, tickets will begin at just $15.

Vince NeilMick MarsNikki Sixx and Tommy Lee were all in attendance at the announcement and seemed closer than ever.

Fans shouldn't expect the band to resurrect, either. They shared that they've signed a contract stating that they're splitting post-tour (and that the tour won't be extended).

During the conference, Mars said, "We love each other like brothers. Let's go out on top."

"This is a huge celebration for us. It's going to be a really fantastic tour," Sixx added. "We're all creative people and I'm excited to see what my brothers do after @MotleyCrue."

Lee chimed in by saying, "We take a lot of pride in everything we do from production to involved fans in the show."

The hashtag "#RIPMotleyCrue" was heavily promoted by the band's official Twitter page, as well as a slew of fans around the world.
