Cher hasn't shocked anyone by starring in one of 2014's most successful tours -- and not just among classic pop and rock artists. But you'd probably be surprised at just how big a seller she's been.
According to Billboard, the 49 shows -- every one a sellout -- so far in her Dressed to Kill tour have drawn a combined audience of 610,812 people and sold $54.9 million worth of tickets. Pollstar -- which tallied shows through June 30th -- ranks her third, behind only retiring country star George Strait and Billy Joel.
Her biggest crowd came in northern New Jersey, just outside New York City. Cher's May 10th show at the Izod Center drew 14,893. Higher Las Vegas ticket prices mean that her May 25th performance at the MGM Grand Garden was the most lucrative, pulling in $1.75 million at the box office.
On hiatus for the summer, the Dressed to Kill tour resumes September 11th in Albany, New York.
