The vineyards are golden and red!

As I was driving down Highway 29 this morning I was struck by the rich colors of the vineyards … finally Fall has arrived.  We've been teased with certain trees changing color, but let's face it, Fall in the Napa Valley is all about the changing hues of the vineyards, and it's in full force!  I hadn't stopped to consider that this usually happens in the first part of November, since the first day of Fall officially started nearly two months ago.  So I don't know about you, but while I was driving home yesterday as the sun was slowly fading, and again this morning as the sun began spreading over the valley, I found myself wondering how I was so fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful place.  And since it's November, our thoughts turn to Thanksgiving, and hopefully a heart open to helping others enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.  There's several avenues to help including the first annual Napa Turkey Trot on November 23.  I was at a remote recently to promote registration – yep, that's what the picture above is all about.  So here's to enjoying the colors of the vineyards and a chance to give back this November!
