It’s not your imagination, rosé season starts earlier each year.

Krug Rosé 21st Edition, $299

Can wine be a digital native?

Krug Grande Rosé is a blend of 57 wines, aged between 2000 – 2008, and bottled in 2016. According to the producers, floral and stewed fruit notes float on delicate bubbles. Accents include puff pastry and honeyed fruits.

Each bottle comes with a Krug ID, which when typed into Krug.com, delivers that bottle’s particular story, along with food pairing and musical selections. Bottle 316033, for example, shines next to scorpion fish, foie gras and even an intense curry.

As for the aural accompaniment, musician Ozark Henry suggests Bartok’s 2d violin concerto, which is “a very demanding, virtuoso piece. Full and opulent, just like Krug Rosé.”
