Today on our Friday addition of “Bob’s Rock Block” we celebrated the 43rd anniversary of Van Halen, #1 on “The Most Influential Rock Bands” of the late 70’s 80’s and 90’s.

And, a huge influence on me and my musical career. We started with a little “Eruption” into the Ray Davis cover of “You Really Got Me.” From there we moved into a blues classic written by Chicago blues man John Brim … the song we ALL sang every word to in the 80’s…”Ice Cream Man!” I gotta say, this is one of my favorite albums and segments of the week.
